Treatment
Center for Disturbed
Sleep
We provide a highly effective, simple, affordable and
non-invasive treatment option for those who
suffer from Snoring
and/or Sleep Apnea.
Specifically, we practice "Dental Sleep Medicine," which is the
custom fabrication of dental appliances that open the airway for better and
quieter breathing during sleep. Disturbed breathing during sleep due to a
blocked airway not only diminishes the quality of your own sleep but can
also disturb your partner's sleep as well.
Dr. Yelena Ostrovsky is
currently the primary provider at the Center. She is a graduate of
University of the Pacific San Francisco school of dentistry, and has been
practicing locally for many years. Dr. Ostrovsky has pursued a thorough
study of upper airway anatomy and physiology, and dentistry's key role in treating sleep disorders.
The Treatment
Center for Disturbed
Sleep is located at Dr. Ostrovsky’s dental
practice in the Marina District of San
Francisco. It is an extremely personalized practice, in which Dr.
Ostrovsky takes her time to get to know each patient, and help resolve
their snoring and apnea issues. It is anything but the typical crowded and
rushed environment typical of today's health care settings.
In many instances, the diagnosis and treatment of snoring and sleep apnea must be a
team approach that includes not only a dentist specifically trained in this
field, but also the primary care physician, an ear nose and throat
specialist and or a pulmonologist affiliated with
a sleep clinic. As such, Dr. Ostrovsky can work closely with those
professionals to assure the best possible treatment outcome.
